At 5:00 a.m. on August 10, 1861 Union troops surprised secessionist obsessed Confederate soldiers at Wilson's Creek in Springfield, Missouri. In just six hours 1,317 Union and 1,230 Confederate soldiers lost their lives.
On August 12-14 2011, I had the pleasure of photographing the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Wilson's Creek. What a fascinating weekend loaded with great photo opportunities everywhere I looked.
